Photos from Africa

I made two trips to Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana - the first in April of  2011 and the second in September of 2013.  Although I stayed at several of the same camps during both trips, the  scenery was so different in the two seasons that I felt as if I was  seeing the sites for the first time.

In April I saw expansive lush greenery; in September,  dry barren earth.  Surprisingly,  it was  more difficult to spot the animals in the stark scenery, as they were perfectly camoflagued against the brown and gray and gold backdrops of nature .  However, in April the bodies of the animals, particularly  theireyes, were a contrast to and stood out against the surrounding green foiliage.
